What a Grand Time it was! This year, I did something I had never done before: I made the Dapper Day Dresses. Would I do it again? Yes but I will be purchasing a form, and using different finishing techniques. I also want to learn about altering dresses, as this is wear I struggled.
Something I love about designing my dress is it is possible to choose the fabric, we went with cotton so it was breathable. and I could make it how I wanted it. I chose to make mink for like a frock so it’s more casual.
I chose to do a loose Ariel bound, wearing a dress that slightly resembled her boat dress. I love this dress! I created a white bodice and blue pleated skirt featuring a floral pattern. I included a black ribbon rather than a black corset.
While I need to alter the bodice some more, I love the neckline. I chose to do the pockets to match the bodice to make it more of a casual frock.
Morocco is one of my favourite photo spots. The tile work is stunning and makes a wonderful back drops. The natural lighting is also very good through out the Pavillon.
Italy is a wonderful spot. The fountains, the view of Spaceship Earth make it ideal. If I could only take pictures in one place, it would be here.
And just how lovely are these flowers? I love colour and brightness. This simply makes me happy. Simply gorgeous. A growth of happiness.
